Work Search Requirements
Pennsylvania Work Registration Program
In order to remain eligible for Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation, it is required that you register for employment services on the JobGateway website within 30 days of filing your application for benefits. The advantage of utilizing the work registration program is it assists you in meeting your weekly requirement of applying for two jobs every week or suitable work and completing a new work search activity.

You will also be required to keep a record of where you applied and the activities completed for your work search. While there is not a required form to be filled out, you do have to keep record of your activities for up to two years after receiving benefits. Because of this, the state of Pennsylvania has created Form UC-304 to help keep you organized, which can be found in the Pennsylvania Unemployment Handbook.
What You Need for Work Registration
In order to complete your work registration requirement, you will need to go to the Pennsylvania JobGateway website and create a profile. You will be asked to provide personal information and create a resume online. You will then complete your profile by providing information on your work experience and education.
In addition, the system may identify you as someone that would benefit from reemployment services because you are at high risk of needing to exhaust your unemployment benefits. If that occurs, you will be required to participate in the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) or the Profile Reemployment Program (PREP). Both programs will align individuals with career planning help, job matches, additional education, or workshops to help make someone better prepared for the workforce.
