Work Search Requirements

Colorado Work Registration Program

According to Colorado unemployment work search requirements, you must register for work search services with a Colorado Workforce Center within four weeks of filing a claim in order to remain eligible for benefits. This means you must complete your work registration within a maximum of four weeks after you submit your benefits claim online or by phone, not four weeks after being approved.

You must also keep a detailed log of your work search activities. You can download a work-search log form here.

It is important to save your work-search logs in a safe place for two years after filing for unemployment because the state of Colorado can request proof of your job searches for up to two years after you file your claim.
