Work Search Requirements

Delaware Work Registration Program

In order to continue receiving benefit payments, you must comply with Delaware work registration requirements. To meet unemployment work search requirements, you  must register with the Division of Employment and Training (DET) within three business days of filing your claim, and you must keep your registration active while collecting unemployment benefits. You must make at least one job search per week, and you must keep a detailed log describing your work search activities. In your work search log, write down the business name, address, and contact information for each employer you apply or inquire with. Make sure to note the date, time, name of the person you spoke with, and the result of your inquiry.

What You Need for Work Registration

You will need to provide your name, date of birth, social security number, and address to register with Delaware JobLink. You must provide your social security number in order to meet unemployment work registration requirements. Registering at Delaware JobLink does not mean that you are satisfying all work search requirements, however. You must apply for work with at least one employer per week.
