Florida’s Unemployment Office

The unemployment services offered by the Reemployment Assistance Center, located in Tallahassee, FL, are administered by the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) in Florida. Principal contact with the program is by phone, email, online, or direct mail.

You can also visit the local CareerSource Florida Center for reemployment information and help. You cannot, however, file for unemployment at a CareerSource Florida center.

  When you call, you can access basic account information, listen to important messages, change your PIN, and receive current benefits payment information.

  When you call the hotline, you can speak directly to a staff member about filing an application for unemployment benefits, have questions answered about your account and payments, and any other inquiries.

• RA Fraud Hotline: 1-800-342-9909

  Call to report RA fraud or file a Fraud report online here. It is important to report any overpayments or suspicion of fraudulent claims to the Benefit Payment Control Unit. Submitting fraudulent information is a third-degree felony and could result in up to $5,000 in fines and 5-years imprisonment.
