Texas Unemployment Insurance Program

Unemployment Insurance (UI) is a program funded by employers through an unemployment insurance tax. The goal of the program is to provide partial income temporarily when an individual becomes unemployed through no fault of their own. Unemployment insurance benefits are available to Texas residents that meet the eligibility requirements, which are detailed below. If you find yourself unemployed, you should apply for benefits as soon as you are officially no longer employed.
