Nevada Unemployment Office

The Nevada Department of Employment, Training, And Rehabilitation oversees the Employment Security Division. Their mission is to “provide Nevada's businesses with access to a qualified workforce and encourage equal employment opportunities.”

Nevada JobConnect is part of a local and state network dedicated to developing the workforce of Nevada. The network is comprised of the statewide efforts of the Governor's Workforce Investment Board. Primary services of the ESD are funded by federal tax revenue and are generally free to all Nevadans.

The ESD offers employment security, employment right, and rehabilitation services for employees and employers. They not only work to provide unemployment insurance benefits to the workforce of Nevada, but also offer job training, job placement, and vocational rehabilitation. In addition, the office works to combat workplace discrimination.
